Rainesforest is snuggled away in a pocket of natural Australian bush, not far from well-known landmark of the Indooroopilly Shoppingtown. When you are driving this is a good landmark to aim for.

INDOOROOPILLY SHOPPINGTOWN DEVELOPMENTS

Indooroopilly Shoppingtown has commenced a 3-4 year building project to expand into neighbouring streets. Please allow extra travel time if using the streets around the shopping complex as they will be closed and detours in place.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS

When you are driving out from Brisbane CBD, you need to get onto Coronation Drive, a main road which travels along beside the Brisbane River. It will take you to Toowong, where you will see a big blue building on the right which is the Toowong Village Shopping Centre landmark. Here you need to turn right into High Street and follow the ‘straight ahead’ arrows which will via you around to the left, still following along High Street. At the next set of traffic lights the road changes to Moggill Road, road signs will begin to say Indooroopilly.

Travel straight along this road, and through the road strip shopping of Taringa. Keep straight ahead and you will come to lights at a large roundabout. The road signs will show you that straight

Ahead now will become Coonan Road. Proceed straight ahead, through a set of lights and now you can see a small shopping complex on the left including the Hogs Breath Cafe. Prepare to turn right at the next set of lights at the corner of Coonan Street and Westminster Road. You will see the yellow Indooroopilly Train Station on your left.

Continue the short distance down Westminster Road, approximately 100m. At the T intersection turn right into Station Road. Proceed up Station Road, through one set of traffic lights, and at the next set, please get ready to turn left. This is FOXTON STREET and you will see a medical centre marking the corner. Drive down this street and the street you are looking for, PRIORY is the first on the right. Travel down this street towards the large trees you will see. This will show you the Rainesforest location at numbers 14 and 16 PRIORY STREET. Parking is available on the street, on the entrance areas to both buildings, AND by driving underneath the green coloured house at 14 Priory Street. You can see in the photos here what the street frontage looks like, and what the inner parking space looks like. If you require any assistance, please just temporarily park and go into 16 Priory Street, following the boardwalk, and to our friendly reception staff who will help you.

Road Closure at Indooroopilly Shoppingtown

Stamford Road, which runs up the side of the Shoppingtown, where the BP service station is located on the corner of Moggill Road, is permanently closing.

You will need to find another route to Rainesforest. You can continue along Moggill Road past the BP Service Station, take the next left turn which is under the OVERPASS, and travel along this other side of the shoppingtown. Then up to the end of the street where it intersects with Station Road at the traffice lights. You will see a church on the opposite side of the street and Musgrave Road travelling down the side of the Church. Take this street down the hill, and our street, Priory Street is the first turn on the left. You can see the forest from Musgrave Street !

Or you can chose to continue along Coonan Road, and follow the instructions above.

TRAIN

The Indooroopilly Train Station is within walking distance to Rainesforest. Take any train to Indooroopilly Station, go down the steps which will take you to a corridor underneath the train tracks. Follow the signs to Indooroopilly. There is then a set of steps to bring you back up to ground level. You are now on the corner of Station Road, simply walk upwards, through a set of traffic lights, and then you will come across a second set on the corner of FOXTON STREET. Turn left here and walk one short block downwards towards the river, and you will see PRIORY STREET on the right. Walk down towards the large trees.This is Rainesforest. See the boardwalk at 16 Priory Street, and follow this to our reception and friendly welcoming staff.

BUS

Indooroopilly Shoppingtown is a major bus station. Take any bus to this station. Once you get off the bus, look ahead and you will see a church. Cross the street to go to the church. This is on the corner of Station Road and Musgrave Road. Walk down the side of the church, Musgrave Road, and you will come to PRIORY STREET on the left. You will see the large trees which are part of Rainesforest. Come into 16 Priory Street, follow the boardwalk and our friendly reception staff will be ready to welcome you.

TAXI

Travel from Brisbane CBD to Rainesforest at Indooroopilly is approximately 20 minutes when the traffic is flowing and maybe 30 – 35 minutes in heavy traffic times. The taxi charge will vary according to travelling time, but as a guide you could expect to pay around $30 for the fare.
